Losán's new plywood factory adds more products to its range | Different poplar plywood options to be included in their production

Losán's new factory in Spain continues to expand its range of poplar plywood products. In addition to the existing 100% poplar plywood, Losán is adding plywood twins (poplar combined with ilomba, okume and ceiba) and plywood combis poplar-eucalyptus and poplar-okume. Besides, it is expected to begin production next February of poplar plywood with HDF, HPL and spliced plywood. With this range of products, Losán will reach the expected 40,000 m3 of annual capacity planned for 2020.

The production was launched in September 2019, with 60 employees working 2 shifts. 2 900 m3 of plywood were manufactured by the end of the year. Today, the plant already has 4 shifts and 100 direct employees.

The factory, located in Villabrázaro, Zamora, is the seventh Losán owns in Spain and confirms the company's commitment to sustainability by being close to raw materials and promoting local resources. Thanks to this ecological drive, Losan has recently obtained the PEFC certification of sustainable forest management.
