Losán was established in 1964 as a small carpentry company in the Galician town of Curtis. Losán has grown continuously since it’s beginnings in the wood industry; our range of products and the personalised solutions in board and veneer melamine we offer can now reach any location in the world.
Manuel, Luis and Emilio López Sánchez established a small carpentry company in the town of Curtis, province of La Coruña. This family initiative was the starting point of what would become one of the leading companies in the wood industry.
The first production plant in Curtis was inaugurated during the seventies. These facilities were the first of their kind in Galicia and used to manufacture wood boards for the furniture industry.
1984 · Acquisition of PINASA in the province of Cuenca with the aim of manufacturing particle board.
1989 · Opening of the second particle board factory in Soria.
1991 · Opening of ASERPAL, the natural wood veneer factory in Curtis, Coruña.
1998 · With the acquisition of COMPONENTES, in Pedro Muñoz, Ciudad Real, Losán begins to manufacture finished products
Factories are opened in Romania (2001 and 2005), Chile (2004 and 2006), the Netherlands (2004) and the United States (2008), resulting in an impressive international expansion of Grupo Losán and consolidation of the entire wood processing production cycle.
Meanwhile, in Spain, the Group focused on investing in melamines and innovating with different designs. This ensured we could offer our customers the best service possible.
With more than 1,500 employees and a presence on three continents, Losán is a leader in its industry. Our future aims include opening new markets and a continuous adaptation to the latest technologies and trends.
